A videotape is put in. Movie Starts. Girl gets into car, starts engine, turns on the radio. She's going somewhere. We find out where she's heading later on. 8 yr old Madison Reid speaks on her love for books. A young girl has super powers. She is able to make comic book characters come alive by reading their stories. She uses those powers to kill her abusive dad. After she succeeds, the girl becomes a recluse. The neighborhood wonders what really happened.
Lupe fiasco is one of my favorite artist. Lyrically, he's the standard for me. He's the one that actually inspired me to rap about my faith when I was a teenager. I wrote this song (I didn't write it down, I freestyle the entire song) because I was disappointed with some of his musical choices as of late, but it's all good. I just always wanted to express how I felt about his progression throughout the years. Glad I finally got it out. Girl arrives at pizza planet to meet me. She gets a text from "an old friend". She leaves. My music plays on the radio as she drives.
I hate this commercial. But it's funny to me. I was sick when I recorded this song. My dog was in my room making tons of unnecessary noise, my girlfriend had just got a new job that same day, and I was up early in the morning listening to music, broke, wondering where my life was heading.
A song about a senior citizen's battle with Alzheimer's disease. This is me on my analogy game as usual. I was really tired (exhausted) when I wrote and recorded this song. I didn't think I would like it at first. I recorded my verses over and over and over...............but it came out better than I expected it to. I love it now.
This song is representative of the summer time in my city. It's also a nod to rap, back when mainstream songs were more lyric driven than they are today. This song has a lot of metaphors........a lot. I always wanted to make a throwback song like this. The beat sample's (I added the ending on, the original beat does not end like that) Donald Byrd's "Think Twice". He's one of my favorite jazz musicians. This song is for my mom & anyone that has lost their mom. I just recently lost someone who was like a second mom to me. Kanye West is someone who showed a lot of appreciation for his mom. He gets a lot of negative press but what's real to me is the love he had for his mother.
